“Driving Digital Adaptation”

The Challenge

As one of the country's largest residential real estate firms and one of the most prolific in the state, the real challenge was relaying their impressive in-person energy and maintaining their print-based success while refreshing their outdated assets for a new digital landscape.

Our Solution

Since real estate marketing predominantly consists of high-quality staged home photography, the weight of APR’s visual identity was in its typography. We upgraded the extravagant print-based script fonts historically used to express their specialty with luxury properties to similarly opulent web fonts that added flexibility while maintaining unity across their branded experiences.

To launch the refreshed identity, we featured the new fonts over immersive real estate photography and inspirational lifestyle photography in a campaign that captured the feeling of ‘home’ in various settings.

The Execution

We launched the campaign during the holiday season and started by releasing a series of branded seasonal ads for the agents to share with clients over email and social media. These ads featured holiday-specific images matching the high-contrast tone of the lifestyle images used in the external campaign.

Following the delighted reception of that pre-release, we distributed updated assets across their advertising partners, updated the overall design of their weekly email newsletters, and published a redesign of their website homepage.

Smaller Details

As part of the digital brand refresh, we extended the fonts, themes, and photographic styles through smaller micro-branding opportunities for various internal and external events. We created a text lock-up for each event to feature alongside vibrant images and polished graphics throughout landing pages, third-party RSVP integrations, email correspondence, and in-person environmental signage.

Driving Digital Adaptation

We completely overhauled APR’s digital brand by leaning into the reputation they’d already established offline. We focused on making a big impression through small but intentional updates to the brand their customers knew and loved. Their team maintained the standards put in place during our refresh for years to come. In 2019, Alain Pinel Realtors was acquired by Compass Real Estate.
